I'll give it a go... starting to get very frustrated. Just installed Mandriva 2007 Spring last night and it was running like a champ right until this crap started happening.... wonder if one of my hdds may be faulty? Both test ok with their respective diagnostic tools, but my secondary is making funny noises. It's a 40Gb Western Digital Cavair 5200 rpm with 20Gb for windows data and 20 for nix.... OS is on a different drive though... could that be a contributing factor?
