Thanks very much, Ron!  I also received the following instructions, which worked:

1.) Right-click on the task bar and select the Task Manager. 
2.)Press 'end task' for Explorer.exe.
3.) Then from the Applications Tab select 'New Task' and enter explorer.exe and click 
on OK to restart Explorer. 
This cured the problem without the need for any add on program.
