I am having a problem with one of my DVD burners. From the begining, it was a pain to install always wanting it's own "ide" socket and without a slave attached. Now it won't read/write without slowing down the PC or hanging it up. I used a NEC 3550 to read and the BenQ 1250 to write - great combo. The BenQ is the problem child. Will play correctly on my wifes PC and not hang up or crash, simple non OC'd internet type PC, AMD Athlon 64 3800+ @ 2.41ghz, 1gb ram, Asus AV8 mb, XP Pro sp2. Mine: Asus PC-DL Dual Xeon Server, 3.06ghz OC'd to 3.68ghz, Vdimm mod, 2 gb ram, std ide HD's, XP Pro sp2, NEC DVD 3550, BenQ DVD 1250 and lot's of fans. Both dvd drive's set to DMA, and on their own "ide" socket. Any ideas??
