BSing as you call it, he was and he wasn't.
It will work but like he said you will need XP drivers.If I can give you an advice
don't dump the Vista,keep it and install XP as 2nd OS dual boot.
Many people do that.I did it with my ToshibaSatellite.Visit and search in the Vista
Forum.Many posts there about dual booting Vista & XP.
