A few tips -- if your PC is NOT going into standby/hibernate:
1. Test your download method/site -- go to download.com and find a 10MB (or greater) 
program to save. If this works, the site or your ISP (or a combo) has the problem. 
This problem is most noticable on youtube, etc, where several hundred thousands may 
be trying to d-load the same file.
2. Try an even larger file from download.com. If it fails, call your ISP (or look 
at their home page). Try d-loading from their mirror site.
3. Firewall/anti-virus settings.
4. replace the modem. THEIR modem.
