It's a Logitech ball which I clean every so often but this was something completely different. It would pause then jump and the scroll was spastic. I'm in Baja California so these items are not available so I ordered another mouse online. I restarted my computer several times and reloaded the mouse, still no luck. Guess what, two days later everything was back to normal...as you might guess I'll now have a spare mouse.
