Trash man is coming tonight - so before I toss the monitor out, thought I'd check
to make sure it's indeed died.
It's a 15" Gateway flat screen, 'bout 3 years old. When turned on, it flashes the
gateway logo and returns to a black screen, never more to be seen unless I shut down
and turn back on.
Hooked up 'puter to another monitor and it works so I know it's not the video card.
I suspect it's the backlight portion of the monitor that's bad, but wanna make sure
it's not just in sleep mode or hibernation, altho I use neither power options. Pushing
the setup buttons on the unit does nothing.
Appreciate any comments, before I toss it.
Thanks in advance . . . . frank
