Right, I have to concur with Ricer46. The difficulty lies in the signal. You seem
to have either an intermittent connection or a bad video card (or both).
Try reseating the cable connections (with the computer off, of course). And if that
doesn't fix it, and if the cable isn't built into the monitor, try swapping it out
for another known good cable (again, with the system off). If the cable is built
into the monitor, hook up a different monitor and see if you have a similar problem,
because, if so, that would mean your video card is having trouble. Opening the box
and reseating the video card (as was suggested by a previous post) would be a good
next step at that point. Beyond that, you'd have to think about a new video card.
I hope it's just a cable problem.
