The easiest thing to try is a different monitor.
Then try installing updated drivers from nVidia for both the graphics and nForce 
430 chipset.
After that, check your case for decent air flow. Your motherboard has no active (fans) 
cooling on it. It relies on case airflow for cooling it's hotspots (chipset, capacitors, 
etc.).
This leads me to the 8500GT. It is acting like it too is heating up. Again, it may 
have a fan on it (check it too), but it relies on case airflow also so it can get 
fresh cool air.
Clean all the dust out of the case with compressed air but be careful not to blow 
the fan blades off any fans that are  mounted in the case. You also might want to 
look into adding more fans (quiet fans are best) if your case design will allow it.
