Start with the Self-Test: http://support.gateway.com/s/MONITOR

Troubleshooting (with PC) -- http://support.gateway.com/s/MONITOR/7005302/7005302nv.shtml

AUTO/SET button (far right). -- With the OSD inactive, press to automatically reset
the monitor to the correct resolution and color settings.

I would unplug the monitor for a time and then try this button with the PC off. If
still nothing, unplug the monitor again, then let the PC boot before trying the button
again. If still nothing, then yes, I would suspect a component in the monitor.
