system32 folder vanished within windows folder

hello everyone, i don't know since when but i found that my window installation folder does not have folder named system32, even if i tried to showall files(from folder option) this folder is not shown, it only shows in dos prompt. i am afraid there is some mallacious trojan/virus which is hiding it from system. i have tried few antivirs(AVG,NOD32,SPYWAREDOCTOR) but nothing found.although my system works fine, but i need to know the cause of this. so pls if anyone can help me out let me know. thanks
