Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 5:25 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by SW (14 messages posted) Hey, Info Daewoo pc WinXP Home Serpack2 384 Ram AVG Spybot Adaware Windows will load up fine , but not before the Cd rom and DVD rom flash back and forth from 3 to 15 min's before you hear the BEEP and then away we go. I have done a clean install of WinXP Home, did not change the problem. Tried a different HD did not work. sfc /scannow did not work. ran msconfig and removed some startup programs, did not work.. I do not have extra CD or DVD rom to switch out to see if they are bad, but they worked fine during back up and installing ..other than you have to wait and wait for the beep and windows to load with each reboot.
