Could also need to install the SATA controllers Driver in Windows, Even try the Drive with the jumper in the other setting. Also check your motherboard documentation. Some motherboards a shipped with sata ports disabled. Some may have a bios setting, some even have a jumper on the motherboard that needs to be changed.
