The N-1 has been having all sorts of issues with G devices (also make sure the Intel 
drivers are up-to-date as there have been issues there as well).  If you could find 
my previous posts here, you will see that I am on my third N-1 and have had the same 
issues with it on a Dell portable and Linksys cards.  Belkin claimed that the N-1 
will perform more relaibly with their companion N cards, otherwise they couldn't 
promise good performance with a normal G device, and it gets very bad running encryption/drop 
outs all the time).

Since N is still not set, you are better off with a good G router with a G device, 
or take a look at some of the other newer N offerings from other vendors.  The N-1 
is not that great IME.  :-(
