windows logon

I just re-installed windows xp home edition on my laptop after using linux for a
while and I have run into a dilemma. I am getting an error at the logon screen. I
never set the password and it is saying,
Logon Message
The system cannot log you on due to the following error:
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.
Please try again or consult you system administrator.
Help me please!!
