Task Bar Disappears and CTRL-ESC will not bring up the start menu. The following
worked for me.
At boot up hit F-8 to bring up the boot menu
select Enable VGA mode
When XP re-boots the task bar should be there.
This appears to be a graphic card problem and occurs when you have an onboard graphic
and an added graphic card in a PCI slot.
