How to verify an XP key BEFORE a clean install ??

I'm installing a new drive and performing a clean install of XP Pro.  I have two 
product keys for XP Pro, but would like to make sure neither is a deactivated VLK 
before I do the clean install using it.
Is there a Microsoft tool or webpage that will let me enter a key to verifiy its 
validity?
