Help with fresh install of XP Pro sp2

I have a brand new SATA Seagate HD that I am trying to install XP sp2 on. I boot from the cd drive with XP in it, and Windows set up comes on the blue screen. It starts copying files for about 2 minutes, but then says that it can not find any hard disks. The computer was working perfectly with a SATA HD before. Any help is appreciated.
