Cannot Print from Wireless Laptop (Vista) to Printer Attached to XP Workstation

The printer is attached to the workstation via XP and has wireless router. Router is set up to use either WEP or WEP2 encryption. I even added the MAC address to the router's "trusted" list - no help. I have gone through all the steps: shared the printer for network printing. Added a network printer on the laptop - it had the appropriate drivers in its driver cache. The printer shows up as an option when I attempt to print, but nothing prints. When I look at the laptop's Printers&Scanner's applet it say the printer is enabled (password required) so I created a username and password on the laptop identical to one on the workstation - no use. Wireless router is Ativa Wireless G model. Anyone have any ideas?
