Sytem boots from HDD fine (CD connected) and PC runs OK until you ask it to do a lot at a time. Then the system runs very slowly and more often than not freezes. You get (mostly) the kernel stack error screen. As it runs fine (apart from this!) it is probably not a heat problem. The subsequent "unrecognised boot device error" appears when I try to re-install XP to either the existing HDD or the completely new one (with the old one disconnested) Warrant just run out (sod's law). Am I looking at a new motherboard?
