CD drive went missing

Hi all!
I have a similar problem here myself, after unplugging my DVD burner as suggested
by a friend when trying to fix another computer problem, which is now fixed... My
DVD drive (D:) went missing from the Windows Explorer!
In the startup it would detect it and say something like ODDO: Pioneer DVD RW dvr
112D in green fonts, and if I insert a Windows CD in it the startup would detect
the CD fine and all. But after logging into Windows XP, I couldn't even find the
DVD device on the Device Manager...
I tried to install the driver from their website but it would give me this message:
/// ODD Firmware Update Utility Ver2.51C
Available Target is not found
So right now, I'm at loss at how to get this fixed. :( Please help! Much thanks for
your time.
