How do you turn off the "Work Offline" dialog box?

Does anybody know how to turn off the "Work Offline" dialog box that pops up if you don't have an internet connection? I have a computer that was formerly connected to the internet, but it no longer is. Every thirty or so minutes, a dialog box pops up, and says "No connection to the internet is available. Would you like to continue working offline, or try again?" It's driving me nuts! So if anyone knows how to stop XP from delivering this stupid prompt, I'd really appreciate some help.
