One of my USB flash stick all of a sudden flaked out, lost its formatting and data , sometimes it is recognized as removable drive in my computer now , but when the properties are checked shows capacity as Zero capacity and such. I looked through the registry and found it's ID data in the removable storage section along with another entry with a scrambled ID for it. is it possible to delete these entries and hope for it to be recognized properly again? As for it working again. I'm resigned to it not being useful again so it's no needed, just curious whethter the registry corrupted it.
