Has it successfully booted into Windows after the setup files have loaded? If not,
you may have a motherboard that needs the IDE controller drivers loaded at the very
beginning of the install process when it asks if you need to add any drivers or SCSI
drivers (press F6). Motherboards that still don't have the IDE controller integrated
into the chipset will need these drivers loaded at the beginning of the install (from
a floppy that has the drivers copied from the CD that comes with the motherboard
or from the manufacturers website), otherwise XP won't have the drivers to start
the machine.
