Substantial analysis has been done on this topic, and it takes close to a 50% improvement
in performance before the user can really recognize that a system is indeed faster.
You can count dollars and cents in your checking account far better than you can
"feel" computer speed.
And since your biggest interest is presummably in online gaming, then you will see
no improvement at all, since you bottleneck is your modem.
