This same issue has been plaguing me for months even though I shut off Automatic
Update long ago. I always know my system has been over-taken on boot because the
sound is shut off, the clock is an hour behind and the name is changed to the original
name I gave it when configuring it on my network. I am ready to throw it out the
window! (Preferrably at Bill Gates' head!)
