I'd reinstalled xp intending to create a new base immage of my pc [never again reinstall windows...right? just re-immage through Ghost] and while I did i installed zone alarm [just to 'watch' what programs make access request while I operate programs [during my immage debugging]. Z'o... I allowed everthing to pass....but ultimately it was Zone Alarm stopping my access to our media download pc within the workgroup.
