I have a question about How do I make the background of desktop icon text transparent?:

I searched for a long time for any utility/squid that would help me integrating a diferent value under the shown shadow's thickness. It is a fact; the dropshadow makes text hard to read, but with a nice contour surroiunding text uniformely, that would make text readable over any background color, even white or black. I made researches with those spellings: Make desktop icons text background shadow thicker O_o Change drop shadow of desktop icons. Search ended a year ago, lengted a few weeks and started again today with a "sure wont waist a year on that" attitude. So, yeah, just moving the drop angle to a few pixels left and up, then making the shadow thicker with whatever the method (duplicating, changing transparencity value, or even making every letters show a per-caracter centered thick background layer true font but thats way too wierd in my toughts for spelling and aranging the idea like it could.) If anyone's got a clue, let me know!
