Sorry in advance for my ignorance... So I bought this computer it has a soyo sy-p485 I think thats right duel core 2.8 w/ 1 gig. brand new ati 2600 pro and hd with fresh xp install as a result of troubleshooting to no avail. when I got it I tried to install sp2 and it began crashing. It came with a sata hd, and something lead me to believe it was a virus so I got a pata hd and installed. worked great for about a week so I decided to upgrade to a 512 mb ati agp instead of the 64 mb it came with. Has been crashing regularly ever since. Replaced the old video card, still crashing. Updated as many drivers as I could, still. Changed ram, still. Dusted case with compressed air, still crashing. I looked at the bottom of the heatsink and it looks like it melted a bit. This seems like the only possibility left is a bad cpu. I havn't updated the bios because I don't have a usb drive handy and I've never done it before... Maybe that's a solution? Sorry if this is hard to follow but I'm trying to remember everything... So heres the last few error codes I've received. They seem to be slightly different each time it crashes. BCCode : a BCP1 : 5043417A BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000000 BCP4 : 804DD9E1 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 0_0 Product : 256_1 C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini031408-03.dmp C:\DOCUME~1\matt\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER2.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml BCCode : d1 BCP1 : 00000000 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000001 BCP4 : F7B07034 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 0_0 Product : 256_1 C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini031408-04.dmp C:\DOCUME~1\matt\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER2.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml
