I'm pretty sure you guys will know of one that is "safe" to use - I've been using 
Family Keylogger but now my Avast keeps catching it no matter where I move the files...I 
use this to keep track of my son's (he is 14) passwords.  He gets online and makes 
accounts we forbid...He has also written nasty emails to others in his class and 
we need to see the text of these emails or instant messages (in case legal action 
is taken).  I would install controls, but this way I can end his accounts if he beats 
the software.

So I was considering Handy Keylogger.  But I don't know anything about the company 
that makes it.  

I am open to any other suggestions, but please, don't scold me about putting this 
software on my machine.  Avast is already doing that really well!!!
