That is a little bizarre, sfc /scannow should replace damaged/corrupt system files back to original, I am going to point you to two MS links that may help... >http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216583/en-us and in case there is still the update issue.... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943144/en-us Hope this helps....
