You shouldn't have two sound cards installed, unless they are designed to coexist.
I suppose a few do. So start over, and disconnect the new hardware, and see if you
can reinstall your motherboard sound. You mentioned that you had low sound output
from the Turntable, this would be normal if you originally hooked your Turntable
directly to the Computer. A Turntable has a very low output signal, and a Stereo
Amp or preamp is needed to boost the Signal.
In Picture you hook the turntable
to phono in. and the Rec out from Tape 1, or Tape 2 in this example to the Computer
