the router is not the problem. because my other computer is working fine. but
regardless, i did a power recycle, no luck.
i did some research on the forum. i was getting "network connection is lost" prompt
from the XP but my internet is fine as i am able to surf the net.
I found a solution from the fourm which was able to solve half of my problem: go
to my network place, added new and entered the the ipaddress and name of the name
of the network drive....and voila, i am connected. (\\ipaddress\name)
but still having trouble connecting to the printer.....i did the same (above) with
my printer but that trick doesn't work with my printer. now this is weird because
i am able to scan but i cannot print. (my printer is fine as i tried printing using
the other computer) And my printer can see both of my laptops on the network, it's
just that this particular laptop cannot connect to the printer???? i read on the
forum that this is indeed a rare and weird problem.
any ways to fix this printer thing?
thanks guys
