I agree. Disable your onboard audio in computer BIOS and make the effort to get the
SoundBlaster Live working. The SB Live is likely to be vastly superior. Go to the
creative labs website and make sure you have all the latest drivers and/or patches
for your model of Soundblaster. Also, and this is a no brainer, some Soundblaster
Live cards have very poorly labelled IO plugins (symbols are not aligned). Make sure
you are hitting the microphone or line-in input rather than any of the (up to 3)
outputs. Also make sure that your computer BIOS is up-to-date.
