I tried "Remove Programs" for Windows Installer, then reinstall WI3.1 again using the downloaded file "WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86" and managed to get Kaspersky installed at last but then strange things happened, 1. Tried to open ACDSee 8 and it says registry changed, so it won't run. I tried to use "Remove Programs" to uninstall it and it says the same Windows Installer error message in my first post above. 2. So I tried to repeat the process again, uninstall WI3.1, etc.. I have a bad feeling about this, does removing and reinstalling WI3.1 damage other programs in my computer? Why does this program keep needing repeat re-installs? Is there something in the process I'm not doing right?
