I have trawled through this thread and nothing stands out as missing now !
Take a look at MS's troubleshooting guide for Wirelss Adaptors here
As best I can see, if you have done all the checks you mention and the connection
is still not showing up, then it has to be a driver problem. Maybe as simple as the
driver you have being corrupt rather than being the wrong one. Either way I would
update from the manufacturer's website and see what happens next.
Just in passing, the Adaptor is not "disabled" in its profile, is it ? And are you
using a laptop (many have a wireless switch hidden somewhere on the case - Dell caught
me out twice with this "feature" !) ?
