The system restore question is hard to answer because there are many different things
that can cause the calendar to be missing; often, viruses will disable system restore
because, of course, system restore is the natural enemy of viruses...if you can restore
your system to a time before you got infected, you can easily kill the virus.
However, if your problem was NOT caused by a virus, it's very likely this:
