1st, apologies if i'm in the wrong place for this help.
If so, pls links to where i could get this prob solved.
what's the opposite of computer geek or techie or
whatever that term is? That's ME! <-| "Preserved
spacing" as it looked *way* to garbled the other way.
let me know if that's ok. Also, did some puttering with
it after looking at the preview and saw 2ft. long lines!
so sorry for not making note of specific terms when
this happened, but i thought i was doing ok...'til....
i went into msconfig and unchecked some programs
to stop them from opening automatically and running
in the bkgrd. Don't often reboot, so when i did a few
days later, my opening window had a msg that i needed
to put it all back like before. So i ck'd the 'put it into
original ... ' button and every single thing in the System
Config. Utility, Startup window had been opened up.
NOT what i wanted at all! So i tried to remember what
ones had been ck'd b4, to no avail.
Can i somehow take pictures [thinking print screen to
Word] of the list and upload it here somehow for someone
to look at and help me ck / unck what i need to start up?
thank you all so much! lorraine

Not sure what of this is needed, but...

SMBIOS Version 2.3
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz

processor- Intel Pentium[r] 4 with SSE2 directX version – 9.0+
Dell Optiplex Gx270, Intel[R]
Total Physical Memory 2.99GHz, 512.00 MB [2x256]
CAPACITY FOR 4GB ~ 4 slots
Options:
*Buy 2 more 256MB and fill up the slots to get 1GB.
*Buy 2 ~ 1GB $150@ [must buy 2] and fill up the slots to get 2.5GB.
{this is better because, if I want to upgrade to 4GB later,
I can just take out the 2x256 and put two more 1GB in their slots}
