It's not McAfee trying to sell you stuff.. You most likely are infected.. McAfee
is just not a good program for scanning with. :) Not to mention that once your computer
is infected, nothing can be trusted, including your anti-virus software as it is
very easy to defeat.
What you are seeing on the desktop is called an active desktop.. You can try to turn
it off, but if the computer is infected it will just pop back up. Go into control
panel -> display and click the desktop tab..Click 'customize desktop' and then the
'web' tab.. In there you can delete the malicious desktop. For best results, everything
should be unchecked in that window.
Other then that, you should definitely be concerned as there is like a 99% chance
that you ARE infected.. :)
