If you prefer not to spend money, you could try the Easeus Disk Copy program, which is freeware. Download at:

http://www.easeus.com/disk-copy/

This comes as an ISO file which you must image to a boot CD. It works in much the same way as the Norton Ghost boot CD. Although Easeus runs considerably slower than Norton Ghost, it does support USB and other external drive formats. I've used it a couple of times and it does seem to be a solid and reliable product.
