Right click one of your "denied" files and click properties. Click the 'security'
tab. If you have not setup your ownership or permissions properly you will see a
warning right off the bat that you don't have permission to change file permissions,
and it will notify you to take ownership first.
If it doesn't tell you this, click 'advanced', then click the 'effective permissions'
tab. Click 'select' and enter your currently logged in user account, and see if
it verifies that you DO in fact have the full control permission checked.
If you can verify all that, then I will believe that you have in fact successfully
taken ownership and applied the proper file permissions.. :)
Lastly, run a chkdsk on the drive and see if their is corruption as Ricer has suggested.
