I have been having trouble with my computer running chkdsk each time I reboot and it says I have a dirty volume on my c Drive. I've read several things about what to do about this and one led me to go to the recovery console to run fixmbr. When I did it said I had either a nonstandard or some other problem in my mbr that could cause me to be unable to access any of my partitions. It went on to recommend I not continue with fixmbr if I was not having sufficient problems to keep me from running my computer normally. Well that is my situation. I only have the problem with continual chkdsk each time I boot...everything else seems to work fine. Its just that I would like to get to the bottom of this as it seems I could have problems anytime with it. I guess I should make images of my drives and then go ahead and run the fixmbr. Does that seem reasonable. I've never run into this before. Or should I just fix the chkdsk so it doesn't run each time and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks in advance.... -Brock
