What should Happen is a bunch of files start loading
Then the End User License Agreement or EULA which must be accepted to continue installation. Press F8 to accept. Then yada yada.
If those things are not happening within the first couple minutes, then I would guess a Hardware problem if you aren't doing something wrong.
