I've also installed SP3 on five machines successfully. The main thing to do (per
MS release notes and how to prepare for SP3) is to disable or uninsall any software
that provides any kind of system file protection/locking, then reinstall it later.
BTW, you can buy SPe on CD from MS for five bucks plus shipping. The file sizes from
the udate site are much smaller. All my downloads were 66MB so the download time
was minimal via cable. The actual installation time though, after download, was around
an hour.
