You can access shares on workgroups faster and easier by creating a LMHOSTS file which resolves the computer name to an IP address quickly. Use this HOSTS & LMHOSTS Page http://www.svrops.com/svrops/documents/hostsdoc.htm for instructions on setting up a LMHOSTS file. Its easy, quick and efficient. Just add the computers name and IP address that you need to access in the LMHOSTS file and reboot, you can than use IE to view that computers shared files by entering \\computername in the address bar. Then you can assisgn it a network drive letter and have it available when ever you boot the computer.
