Thanks for the info, however I am not sure it helps!

With MLB Gameday Audio you have to click on the required game and a new window pops 
up where you log in.   

This then runs WMP in that window.

I actually completely uninstalled WMP and still had this problem crashing XP, presumably 
because the embedded player stays in IE.

So I suppose I need an embedded player that will load in IE instead of WMP.

I have Firefox 2 and that does not work - the window that opens for the password 
to be entered is just a completely blank very dark blue screen.

As no one else seems to be having this problem perhaps I have a corrupt file somewhere? 
 I tried running SFC but it will not work becasue it expects XP AND SP3 to be slipstrreamed 
on a CD for some reason!
