re: Empty Device Manager Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 7:01 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by sffuji (1 messages posted) I've done all of the suggested steps - full permissions to System and Users using regedt32, removing the offending XP patch, and even running aproposfix. Left to my own "devices" (if any were showing, that is) I'd switch to a Mac an O/S 10, but... Are there any other suggestions? When I last went into regedt32, there were 3 occurrences of \HKLM\System\ControlSet (vanilla, 001 and 002).
