nhazean - thanks for posting this solution. I had a very similar experience to yours.
I recently installed the CS3 suite but had an earlier version of the applications
still installed so I removed them and all my file associations were screwed up.
I thought I knew Windows pretty well and was frustrated that the normal steps weren't
working. Your instructions did the trick. Thanks again.
