On the Puppy Desktop is a Shortcut Labled "Drives" The Laptop Drive should show up there. You have to mount the Drive, and then from there just navigate to the stuff you are trying to save. If the Windows Drive doesn't show up, then that might be a Indication the Drive is Dead.

The Burning Software is in the Multimedia Tab in the Start menu. I actually use A USB Drive myself to save the Files to. Just Drag n Drop them. Some good Puppy Forums to check out if you have more problems.
