Hi. First things first. Is the printer attached to the printer (LPT1) port on your
PC or is it a USB device? Is the printer switched on, online, with ink and paper
in it? Has the printer ever worked or is this a new installation? What does it have
listed as the Advanced Properties for the printer (Start - Settings - Printers and
Faxes - right click printer, choose Properties - Advanced Tab) regarding spooling?
You can select to print directly to the port and bypass the spooler to test that.
Lastly for now, is the Print Spooler service running? Start - Run - enter "services.msc"
(without the quotes) and click OK. Scroll down to find Print Spooler - it should
be shown as "Started" with a Startup Type of "Automatic". Check all that and post
back with what you find. Cheers. Spexx.
